Our Story

Rays of Ink began with a love for art, design, colours, patterns, and the little details that make everyday things feel special. For a long time, painting was a creative escape from the hustle of a full-time job, a space to slow down, experiment, and simply create. Over time, watching other creators turn their passions into beautiful small businesses sparked an old love for something equally close to the heart: stationery. As a stationery lover, there was a growing curiosity about what was available in Sri Lanka. Many notebooks and journals on the market were fairly basic, often imported, and followed similar designs. This created an opportunity to bring something different to the table, stationery that combines creativity, art, and thoughtful design. And so, Rays of Ink was born with a simple idea: to create artsy, distinctive, and thoughtfully designed pieces that people can enjoy using, gifting, and keeping close. Today, the collection includes notebooks, gift-wrapping paper, bookmarks, gift tags, greeting cards, and more. Each piece is created with a love for colour, creativity, and the little things that bring joy to everyday life.
